The patent law firm Grättinger · Möhring · von Poschinger advises and represents German and foreign clients in all fields of national, European and international industrial property rights. Along with national and international companies, we also advise and represent private individuals, e.g. as inventors, in regard to the legal protection of technical developments by patents and utility models, aesthetic creations by registered designs and characteristic product or company identifications by trademarks.
Qualifications
All the patent attorneys working in our office have qualified at least as a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in engineering or physics (besides their legal qualifications), so that we are in a position to provide our clients with well-founded advice over a broad technical spectrum.
Experience
When drawing up and filing property rights applications and defending as well as enforcing these, we can build on the many years of experience in our office, which was founded in 1959. This includes important decisions of the Federal High Court of Justice both in patent and trademark cases, which we have been able to obtain in favor of our clients (e.g. BGH X ZR 114/13 "Wärmetauscher", BGH I ZB 20/92 "PROTECH", BGH X ZB 34/89 "Straßenkehrmaschine", BGH X ZR 30/02 "Einkaufswagen II").
Strategy
We support our clients in building up a patent and intellectual property portfolio that makes sense from an entrepreneurial perspective. The handling of new technologies is a natural challenge for us.
In the event of conflicts of industrial property rights and infringements of industrial property rights, we represent our clients both out-of-court and before the relevant courts. In court proceedings, we typically cooperate with renowned attorneys at law in their respective fields, whereby we can look back on numerous successfully concluded cases.
International Network
In the more than 60 years of patent attorney activity since our firm was founded in 1959, we have built up a worldwide network of cooperation law firms in all relevant countries of the world, with the help of which we also provide our services on an international level. This applies both to our domestic clients with a need for intellectual property rights abroad and to foreign clients with a need for intellectual property rights in Germany and Europe.
Our international emphasis is also expressed by means of our membership in IPG-International Practice Group, a leading international network of lawyers, accountants and tax specialists.
